How We Got Here
A Journey of Prayer and Unity
In late 2019, a combined meeting of boards, 26 members in total, met to discuss the future of Christian education in our region.
2019
Despite the ups and downs of 2020, the 4 board chairs continued to hold regular joint meetings, and discussions within each board. The most encouraging and important takeaway was a true spirit of cooperation and agreement. There was a commitment to growing and sustaining affordable Christian education in the broader Quite region.
2020
To continue the momentum and clarify a vision for the future, the four boards approved the establishment of a Quinte Region Task Force. Membership of the task force included representation from all school communities. The mandate of the task force was: To fully explore a new collaborative single vision for the long-term future of Christian education in the Quinte region.
The Task Force met regularly to develop a recommendation plan which was presented to each boards in the spring.
QCHS membership approved a pilot Middle School project for the ’21-’22 school year. This program facilitated the move of the SCA gr. 7 and 8 program to QCHS.
