Classroom Teacher
Sonrise Christian Academy, part of Quinte Region Christian Schools, is a non-denominational Christian elementary school (K-6) located in Picton, Ontario. At Sonrise, we provide a nurturing Christ-centred learning environment that allows each child to grow to his/her full potential, both academically and spiritually. As a small school, we have the opportunity to engage students in multi-grade room environments. The first half of the school day involves instruction for grades 3 & 4 (Bible, math, and language arts) and the afternoons involves instruction for grades 1-3 (Rotation subjects: creation studies, art, music, phys. ed. and French).
The ideal candidate will be certified with the Ontario College of Teachers and hold either ACSI or CSTC designation as well as education (which may include Additional Qualifications) and experience at the primary and junior level.
The position is 50% FTE (with the possibility of 100%).
