A Place of Belonging
When we were looking to putting our children into school after years of homeschooling. we were incredibly nervous for Pierce. We had heard so many horror stories of kids with disabilities being left for days without any support and even basic needs not being met, never mind their academic learning being met. At the same time we also kept hearing from professionals, in the disability community, that there wasn’t a school that even came close to TCS in terms of what they were able to achieve with special kids, like ours. This came not only from therapists, but even people in the government ministry.
It was very hard for me to see my little boy head off to school, but by the first month, my fears were laid to rest. Pierce absolutely loves school. He loves his teachers and his classmates. He asks every night “school again?” It has also been amazing to see how he has progressed in terms of learning. His learning will always go slowly, but many things that I worked on for years with him, TCS had him doing in 6 months.
We are extremely grateful to his teachers, his classmates and all of TCS for the support and happy environment they have created for our boy. I truly believe they are helping him fulfill his full potential in all aspects of his life.
