2025 QCHS Eagles Volleyball Camps

The QCHS athletics program will again be running volleyball camps this summer. These camps are for students from grades 6-12 and each camp is geared towards a different experience level – but all of them are geared to fun, sportsmanship, and growth!

Introductory Camp – August 11-15

This camp runs from 9:00am to 12:00pm. Check-in each day begins at 8:30am

This camp is designed for volleyball players who have played a little bit of organized volleyball in the past or are brand new to the game. This camp focuses on acquiring and starting early consolidation of basic volleyball skills. It is recommended that players enter this camp if they are going to grades 6, 7 or 8 and don’t fulfill the recommendations for the Intermediate Camp.

Intermediate Camp – August 11-15

This camp runs from 12:30pm-3:30pm. Check-in each day begins at 12:00pm

This camp is designed for those who have acquired the basic skills of the game and are looking to continue to consolidate skills and gain an understanding of positioning. It is recommended that players enter the camp if they are going to grades 8, 9, or 10 and they have experience playing at least two years of elementary volleyball, one year of high school volleyball, and/or have attended one volleyball camp in the past

Experienced Camp – evenings – August 11, 13, 18, 20

This camp runs from 6:00pm-9:00pm each evening. Check-in begins at 5:30pm

This camp is designed for volleyball players who already have a lot of experience with the game. During these evenings, we will have some coed activities and some that have the boys and girls separated. It is recommended that players enter this camp if they are going to grades 10, 11 or 12, possess very good ball control, and they have done at least one of the following:

  • Played at least two full years of club volleyball in the OVA
  • Played at least two full seasons of high school volleyball

Coaches

Madison Lammers (Scheerhoorn) will be leading our introductory and intermediate camps again this year. Madison started playing competitive beach volleyball early on and then continued to play indoor club volleyball as well as on the QCHS team. She had the opportunity to go to OFSAA for all 4 years of high school. After high school, Madison rejoined the volleyball community as a head coach for the Kingston Rock Volleyball Club as well as an Assistant Coach for the Royal Military College Women’s volleyball team. It is so awesome to have Madison come back and lead these camps for us!

A new coach will be joining us this year – Josiah Siebenga will be leading our experienced camp in the evenings. Josiah began his volleyball career at Quinte Christian High School and then continued playing OCAA volleyball for the Redeemer Royals. While at university Josiah also was part of the coaching group for the very successful Ancaster Lions club program. This past year Josiah was the head coach QC’s junior boys and junior girls volleyball programs. We are excited to have Josiah lead part of our camp this year!

Both camps will feature additional coaches and guests with loads of volleyball experience – look for more information as we get closer to the camp dates!
